I've been officially working as a fulltime freelance illustrator for almost half a year now and it's been going pretty alright, but I'm always open to filling up my plate with more jobs.
I usually offer two options quality-wise, the Daily and the normal illustration
Dailies (because they're relatively quick to make) are $50
Full illustrations are around $150
Pm me to discuss further
Cheers
Do study subjects you're unexperienced at, don't stay in your comfort zone forever
Do make mistakes, and do not ever be afraid of showing them.
Do look at works of other great artists that you look up to, but don't waste hours a day doing nothing but staring at works and tutorial videos of other people. Best way to get better is to, surprise, practice.
Do realize that photobashing and using phototextures for big mattepainting is and should be an industry-workflow, you should try to work without any photos on your own personal work.
Do not skip over the basics just because you want to make cool Uncharted 4-like concept art.
Don't be afraid to change your tools, wether its in Photoshop or when your painting on a canvas, breaking the barriers that are your tools and workflows are the best ways to free yourself from an artblock.
Find joy in trial & error, because every mistake you make, every wrong arm or face you draw is another step closer to drawing it better. Learn to learn from your mistakes, otherwise you'll end up in a cycle of non-improvement, you'll be drawing the same thing over and over again and not get any better at it. Look at mistakes and research if needed.
I couldn't name 7 sins at the top of my head but I hope you'll find a few in the text above!
